New TOTY & GINGA BOX Arrives

GINGA B Box and TOTY Week 5 Box Update in FC Mobile

EA Sports FC Mobile has released two major premium Box updates this week with the arrival of the TOTY Week 5 Box and the GINGA B Box, continuing the fixed-reward premium format that has become a key part of recent events. Much like the Signature and earlier TOTY Boxes, these offers focus on exclusive, high-impact player items paired with large amounts of valuable progression resources.

With Team of the Year now moving into its later stages and the GINGA side event running alongside it, these Boxes represent some of the most impactful spend-focused content currently available in the game.

Both Boxes went live during the Saturday UTC refresh and will remain available for a limited time only. They are scheduled to leave the game at the upcoming Thursday reset, when the next wave of weekly content arrives.

How the Premium Box System Works

Unlike standard packs or Drafts, the Box system follows a fixed reward path. Every reward inside the Box can only be claimed once. When a reward is obtained, it is permanently removed from the pool, increasing the probability of pulling the remaining items.

This structure gives players more clarity and predictability compared to random packs. While it is not fully free to play, every user receives one free attempt, allowing players to test their luck before deciding whether to invest FC Points.

Over the course of TOTY, EA has also shown a clear strategy with these Boxes, especially in terms of weekly featured Icons and positional balance.

TOTY Box Weekly Pattern and Icon Rotation

EA has followed a very deliberate rotation when it comes to the TOTY Box, consistently featuring top-tier, fan-favourite Icons, while also varying positions to avoid oversaturating a single role.

In Week 1, the Box debuted with Marcelo as a 117 OVR Icon LB, instantly becoming one of the best attacking fullbacks in the game.

Week 2 shifted focus to goalkeepers, featuring Edwin van der Sar as a 117 OVR Icon GK, widely regarded as one of the strongest gameplay keepers available.

Week 3 moved into attack with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, delivering a dominant 117 OVR Icon ST option.

Week 4 paused the TOTY Box format as UTOTY content took center stage.

Now, in Week 5, EA has returned to defense with another community favourite, reinforcing the idea that these Boxes are carefully spaced out and designed to cover multiple squad needs over time.

This pattern strongly suggests that EA is intentionally holding back major Icons and releasing them weekly, rather than dumping all premium content at once.

TOTY Week 5 Box Headliner - 117 OVR Lucio

The TOTY Week 5 Box is built around Lucio, featured as a 117 OVR CB player item.

Lucio has long been considered one of the most reliable and dominant center backs in FC Mobile. His cards are known for their blend of physical strength, recovery pace, aggressive defending, and ability to win duels both on the ground and in the air. This version is expected to immediately slot into top-tier competitive squads, especially for players focused on Head to Head and high-level VSA play.

What makes this card even more valuable is its exclusivity. The 117 OVR Lucio is available only through the TOTY Week 5 Box. Once the Box expires, this version will no longer be obtainable, making it a strictly premium and highly limited card.

Reward Path and FC Points Cost

Both the TOTY Week 5 Box and the GINGA B Box follow the same 12-step progression system. Rewards must be unlocked sequentially, and tiers cannot be skipped.

The total FC Points cost to fully clear a Box, if the featured player is not pulled early, comes to approximately 23,950 FC Points. This makes the Box a significant investment, clearly aimed at competitive and spender-focused players rather than casual free-to-play users.

Value Beyond the Headline Icon

While the featured Icon is the main attraction, the Box also provides a huge amount of supporting resources that can accelerate squad progression.

Across all 12 tiers, players can earn massive coin drops reaching up to 365 million Coins, along with 1,200 Rank Up Points, 5,800 Gems, and 300 Training Transfer Points. On top of that, 45 FC Draft Vouchers are included, which are especially valuable given the Draft-based structure introduced during TOTY.

There is also a 111-115 OVR Player Pack, offering another chance at a high-rated card before reaching the final reward.

GINGA B Box Overview

Running alongside TOTY, the GINGA event brings a different flavor of content, combining Draft gameplay with a weekly leaderboard grind. The premium Box format plays a major role here as well.

The GINGA event is two weeks long.

The first week introduced the GINGA A Box, while the GINGA B Box arrives in the second and final week.

Just like the TOTY Box, the GINGA B Box follows a fixed reward path, includes one free attempt, and requires FC Points to progress further.

GINGA Box Featured Players

During the first week, EA selected Carlos Alberto as the GINGA A Box headliner. He arrived as a 117 OVR CB, with RB available as an alternate position, surprising many but offering excellent defensive flexibility.

For the second week, EA has gone all-in with one of the most iconic attackers of all time.

GINGA B Box Headliner - Ronaldinho

The GINGA B Box is headlined by Ronaldinho, featured as a 117 OVR LW.

This version of Ronaldinho has received massive gameplay upgrades, including 5 star Weak Foot, 5 star Skill Moves, and 5 star Stamina, making him one of the most complete and entertaining wide attackers in the game. His dribbling, flair, and creativity perfectly match the spirit of the GINGA event.

As with previous premium Boxes, this Ronaldinho card is exclusive to the GINGA B Box and will no longer be obtainable once the Box expires.

GINGA B Box Rewards and Overall Value

Beyond Ronaldinho, the GINGA B Box mirrors the TOTY Box in terms of resource value. Players can earn up to 365 million Coins, 1,200 Rank Up Points, 5,800 Gems, 300 Training Transfer Points, and 45 FC Draft Vouchers, along with a 111-115 OVR GINGA Pack.

These rewards ensure that even players who miss the featured pull early still gain meaningful progression value as they move through the Box.

Final Verdict

The TOTY Week 5 Box and GINGA B Box together highlight EA’s current premium content strategy in FC Mobile. By rotating elite Icons weekly, maintaining positional variety, and pairing exclusive players with huge resource payouts, EA is keeping spender-focused content highly relevant deep into the event.

Lucio offers defensive dominance for competitive squads, while Ronaldinho delivers flair, creativity, and pure fun in attack. However, the high FC Points cost means these Boxes are best suited for players who are confident the featured player fits their squad and playstyle.

For competitive and dedicated players, both Boxes represent some of the strongest premium opportunities available in the current event cycle.
