Pros

Versatile Positioning

He is highly adaptable, capable of playing both CM and CAM effectively. However, his best performance comes from the CM role where he can properly balance attacking creativity with defensive contribution.

Good Pace for a CM

He has solid pace for a central midfielder, allowing him to transition smoothly between defense and attack. Makes timely forward runs and recovers well when tracking back.

Smooth Dribbling & Ball Control

He feels composed on the ball. His turns are smooth, touches are clean, and he maintains control under pressure. Dribbling is responsive enough to maneuver in tight spaces and create openings.

5★ Weak Foot Advantage

A massive asset. He can shoot, pass, and finish confidently with either foot. Inside the box he’s clinical, and from distance his power shots and long shots are accurate and consistent.

Elite Long Shots

One of his standout qualities. De Bruyne can score stunning goals from outside the box with precision and power, making him a constant threat when given space.

World-Class Passing & Vision

Among the best passers in the game. Short passes, long switches, through balls, and crosses are all pinpoint accurate. His vision allows him to unlock defenses and control the tempo effortlessly.

Playmaking Control

He dominates midfield build-up. Always involved in attacking phases, finding pockets of space and reacting quickly to create goal-scoring opportunities.

Decent Physical Presence

With good height and strength, he doesn’t get bullied easily. Contributes defensively with interceptions and solid standing tackles when needed.

Special Traits

Comes with Early Crosser, Long Shot Taker, and Playmaker traits which perfectly complement his passing range and shooting ability.

Cons

Not Extremely Agile for CAM

While smooth overall, he isn’t ultra-agile compared to smaller, more nimble CAMs. In very tight spaces, he can feel slightly less sharp.

Conclusion

Kevin De Bruyne is an elite CM built for control, creativity, and long-range dominance. His 5★ weak foot, world-class passing, and lethal shooting make him one of the most complete midfielders in the game. Slight agility limitations at CAM are minor compared to his overall impact.
